It all started when…

In 1971 Jean and Norman Smith had a vision to see their local neighbourhood supported and blessed by the church family in practical ways meeting practical needs.

We now have a team who co-ordinate calls from anyone needing help in the Wisley and Pyrford area. When neighbours and families are unable to assist on occasion or for an unexpected series of appointments we are there to help.

It might be for, a lift to the doctor at the health centre, or dentist, the local hospital or collection of a prescription.

Volunteers give their time as drivers and we only ask for a donation of 45p per mile for the lifts we give.

Could you volunteer to drive those who live in Pyrford and Wisley?

We need drivers for short simple drop-offs, pushing a wheelchair if necessary, taking people to appointments and waiting to take them home, a great chance to catch up on a good book perhaps!

Could you join our phone team?

Do you love cooking?

We have for a while been able to provide meals on a short term basis for those in crisis or difficulty. If you might be able to assist in this ministry do contact us and we can put you in touch with Janet who co-ordinates this. MEAL MAKERS
